Today promises to be a good one. AMC is running classic movies all during the holiday weekend. They're starting, today, with Gone with the Wind, and I just have to say this, in hopes that Aunt Vivian is busy with other things in heaven and therefore isn't listening—Scarlett has been known to get on my nerves. Still, I'll probably tune in now and then. Dave and I are delivering a cabinet he made to a good friend who's opening a new shop in our neighborhood. We've really enjoyed sharing in the excitement of a new venture—and I've especially enjoyed the shopping opportunities. I'm adding this line to my freelance resume: "proven ability to work hard, with cheerful attitude, for a really great purse." This afternoon, I'll break out Aunt Grace's recipe for cornbread dressing and make a batch for lunch at Mama's tomorrow (but I'll have to brush up on my math skills and try to half that recipe because Aunt Grace is used to feeding a crowd!) I'm thankful for so many things today, on Thanksgiving eve, but I guess the one blessing that trumps all others is love. I'm grateful for a husband who loves me. (Once, when he was rolling his eyes at one of my many Lucy Ricardo moments, I said, "You know, when you think about it, you're the one who's truly unbalanced. I was born this way. But you married crazy.":) I'm thankful for a loving family—for the way Mama quizzes me every week about Dave's favorite foods so she can fix him something special for Sunday dinner, and the way Daddy's always right there, ready to help anytime we need it. I'm thankful for all the family and friends who are happy for us in the good times and ready to stand by us in the bad. I'm thankful for the source of it all, for a God who loves us and taught us to love each other. The Bible says that love is the greatest of all spiritual gifts, and I believe that. I've been on a cleaning frenzy since Friday or Saturday of last week, and when I was reorganizing our book cases, I ran across a little Christmas gift book filled with inspirational quotes. Seems like a good day to share this one—Happy Thanksgiving!
It's not difficult to make an impact on your world.
All you really have to do is put the needs of others ahead of your own. You can make a difference with a little time and a big heart.

Happy Thanksgiving!
TMC ran GWTW and How to Kill a Mockingbird last night. Go Southern literature!
Will be switching between BU/Tech and AU/Bama Sat on TV.
Thankful for your witful insights and good memories. Enjoy!
